Day Habilitation

Every Friday, Day Hab provides different opportunities for outings around the community. Some of the past activities have included:

• Iowa State Fair

• Pella Tulip Time

• Iowa Women's Basketball Game

• Tanger Outlet Mall

• Amana Colonies

• Kalona 

• Putnam Museum

• Davenport

• River Museum

• Dubuque

• Wilson's Apple Orchard

Clients are responsible for paying for their own lunch and fees associated with these trips. (This is a good opportunity to work on budgeting throughout the month! )

This group offers clients the opportunity explore the community through taking a walk to the local Java House and Daylight Doughnuts.  Coffee and Doughnuts provided the group is set in a relaxed environment where clients can socialize in a judgement free setting.

Game Group Tuesdays were we explore old and new games from Monopoly to New Phone Who Dis? 

This group is so popular we need three sections! We provide all art materials and plan different activities each week. Everyone is also free to work on their own art projects if they choose not to do the group project. This group is a great way to use your creativity and socialize with friends.

These Groups alternate weekly. During bowling group we visit out local Bowling alley where we tend to STRIKE out.   During documentary group we enter a rabbit hole of  deep sea diving, rock climbing, and living in other healthy sustainable ways. Documentary group is very interactive as we have documentaries that requires you to choose your own adventure.
